Jobs for life?

Is there such a thing anymore?

A recent survey said that on average people only stay in the same job 2-3 years giving boredom as one of the popular reasons for moving on?

Do we all get bored that much easier nowadays?

I have had enough of this!

as the low paid cannot afford extra pensions and the gov are thinking of raising the pension age to 70 they will have to work till they die ..literally .my mum died at 59 so didnt get to pension age and my old man worked till he died at 69 because he couldnt afford to retire he even had to wriggle out of claiming disability pension so he could work (he needed a triple bypass) :( so job for life in their case definatly :)

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

Life insurance? you wont enjoy a penny!

I think before we can answer the question, is there such a thing as a job for life, we have to consider "life".

What is it ?

How long does it last ?

Is anybody else getting tired ?ZZZzzzzzzzzzz

I`m one of them `odd` people? I work to go fishing. As I do the staff rotas, I actually get paid to go fishing!!!

I`ve been with my present employers for 8yrs, 8yrs the one before and 20yrs with my original employer (myself). If you think of yourself as an employee, you`re lost before you start?

But then I`m lucky. My bosses know I can`t be threatened with the sack if I make a booboo that can be pinned on me. In fact they feel rather smug if they notice I`ve made a mistake. The fact that my department runs smoothly while 40% understaffed and always makes a substantial profit makes them forget about the occasional glitche? All my co-workers ( please notice, I didn`t say staff) are more than happy to work rediculous hours when required. Happy in the knowledge that they can ask me to cover for them when they need a long break.

We`ve all got jobs for life! Unless we have a civil war and all government departments go to the wall.

:P Paul. :P

We don`t use J`s anymore!!
