Personalised number plates

I'm weighing up whether to get a personalised number plate "Liam" for £250.

I know it's a lot of money,

but it'll be transferable across cars for life,

and I have done a lot dafter things in my time

Well would you?

Depends if you are in the habit of upsetting people who might take revenge on your car!

Students can afford personalised number plates?????????

Just think of all the fishing tackle you could buy with £250 or about 5 years membership to a good fishery.

My advice for what it's worth, DON'T!!!!!

One good reason to do something is better than a thousand bad excuses not to.

Join the ACA as a life member!! A far better use of a spare £250!

Why give money to the government for something that should free anyway!!

Liam,

What is the plate, exactly? I'd go for it, if it was a good one.

Once saw E1 TON for sale. Price was over £250,000, though

Well....

Turns out that you can't put newer plates on an old car! eg a G reg car can't have any letter above G *grr*

So, if I get the plate, it's £25 a year to keep it unregistered while I save my pennies for a L reg car :)

Here's a list of possibles....not brill but for £250 can't grumble

and with a bit of tinkering they should look like

I was thinking of that plate for resale, but am almost decided on another atm. (or maybe not)
