recent visitors to AN

Recommended Posts

I have just looked at the recent visitors to the non fishing forum and as well as the names there were 25 visitors.

Some of the names I do not recognise, why do you not post and talk to us?

Visitors, why not talk to us all, we like to welcome people and would like to meet you (as it were) joining AN is not difficult and you don't get spam, just the odd email from Elton.

Don't be shy. So you can't spell, big deal, nor can moost off us, grammer crap, no problem whe even have gordies, scousers, joks, taffys, paddies etc and heaven forbid Americans, Ausies, New Zealanders, a couple of S. Africans, Russians etc. :D

Come on, extend our hands and knowledge, POST or contribute to a topic.

Tight lines and join in please, you never know we may be able to help each other. :)

Alan - I agree.

Certainly none can be in worse shape for joining in than I was a couple years ago when I first found this forum.

Knew nothing/zip/zero about UK angling and not much more about the UK in general.

At least most of the visitors already speak the language. Took me the best part of a year to gain any fluency whatever.

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Alan, I suppose that I'm as guilty as any-one, but I think it's pointless me saying any thing if I have little or nothing to add to a thread.

As a lot of you know I'm a bit slow on the uptake any way.( tick they call it in Ireland Don't they Greg?)

But yes I see where you are coming from Alan, and agree with you. Some people are perhaps like I was only a few months ago and lack the confidence to post or reply to threads on the forums, but like to read what others thoughts are. I was certainly in that position.

The spelling, grammer etc was a bit of a concern of mine when I first joined, I still have to think hard about making my-self under stood as I have said in previos posts/replies of mine, I don't consider my-self to be able to explain my-self very clearly.

I wonder If that is what some of the reason is?

"Amatuers built the ark...........................................................................................................proffessionals built the titanic"

Well that was clear enough and I have read some of your replies and there was nothing wrong with them.

What I like is when a question is asked and I don't know the answer. When the answer comes up I try and come back with a "thanks", that way people know that we appreciate the effort they have made.

Tight lines

I dont know about anyone else but I clear out my cookies and temp internet file regularily which means AN doesnt automatically log me in, sometimes I just have a quick browse of the posts and dont post replies, so I could well be one of those unknown visitors, does anyone else do that?!
