tornados-do you get them?

Few years back I was fishing my local carp lake and heard a swishing sound, on peering through the trees at the water I saw a patch of water about 10/12 feet across which was rising in dozens of little waterspouts, each rising to a height of about 5 feet. Fascinating sight and one which I have never seen before or since.

Was this a mini tornado

Yes chesters1, they most certainly do exist....

Just read that back, and it might look as if I'm calling chesters1 level-headed. Sorry, it was not my intention to imply that chesters1 was anything other than a [later edited by the poster.... just once I would like to say what I want to say. Just ONCE!!!] with a cucumber! :D

hi,

saw a mini tornado in my middle school field once,it was about 2-3 feet across by about 10-15ft high and i watched it pick up jumpers and fresh cut grass and it sent them several hundred yards then sort of died out.

it was a sight i hope i see again one day but as long as its not a biggie ripping through the house :D
