Being "scientifically illiterate" can have a price.

Cory,

The one I remember is when McDonalds lost the 5 million dollar lawsuit. Their coffee cups now say, "caution, contents may be hot".

Yes I know; but do you know the back story to that?

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

50-60 Pro Plus tablets should see you out the door feet first; whether you believe it or not.

I hadn't realised that you could overdose on caffeine - I drink a lot of coffee during an evening, (fresh, not instant - don't have any instant in the house) and have never understood the palava about it being a stimulant - it doesn't make me jump around like a loony and I sleep very soundly every night despite my coffee intake, (and the cheese for supper).

This from an on-line Caffeine Calculator - I only entered my tea and coffee intake, didn't bother with the rest of the foodstuffs " Your caffeine intake exceeds the recommended safe levels. You should reduce your caffeine intake." Yah boo sucks to that.

Anyone who takes 50 or 60 of anything in a short space of time deserves anything they get.

You're like me then. Heavy caffeine users become tolerant to some side effects of the stuff, it stops being a diuretic, it does not stop everyone from sleeping at night either, but you can still die if you have an overdose.
