Got up to look at a dodgy roof this morning and then thought better of it so went fishing instead

Crap picys as on mat biggest went 18 very fat and short and lost one bigger which is the carnage of lillys and reeds posted but will be back for a pop at her ,couldn't keep a bait in the water at one point this morning ended up with 6 fish mostly jacks but great fun ,piccys don't do there colours justice sadly .

Any guesses on who the other Anglers net guy was .....not arranged so guessing he was a surprised as me

Yes it was as it happens but neither of us knew the other was planning to go ,he stayed on so may well have a tail of a biggun to tell later but I don`t know him well enough to give it the beware of the headless railway worker stalking the track crossing when you leave :rolleyes: .,

Lovely venue no one around no publc access and the fish were having it ,Should have taken a drifter rod as I could have sent a drift rif downwind from the headland towards the island that is agonisingly just out of casting range....they always look more tempting then bit like the far bank of a big river .

Imagine my surprise - bunking off to take a cheeky afternoon's deadbaiting on my local pit to bump into another ANer bunking off to take a cheeky day's deadbaiting! Great to see you Steve, I am really glad you caught my pike - the one I lost a couple of weeks ago ;-)

 

Given that we failed to trouble the scorers after I arrived, I suspect i jinxed you - I'm a bit crap at piking! Apologies, but it was great to catch up and plan future campaigns....
