Species caught in 2015: Ash, Bird Cherry, Black-Headed Gull, Common Hazel, Common Whitebeam, Elder, Field Maple, Gorse, Puma, Sessile Oak, White Willow.

Peggy - I hope things are going better for Steve now. Several of those complications sounded really nasty. Please keep us updated.

Thanks guys! Steve is a good bit better today although still in quite a lot of pain and not able to eat solid food. Cheered up by many calls, emails and especially a visit from our son and granddaughter Amity. Seeing the consultant again tomorrow and may not be out for Christmas as he still has a drain in and has to have IV antibiotics for at least 5 days. We had our Christmas last weekend with the family and all the grandchildren so if he is in on Christmas Day so be it.

Tell him for me that he should not have applied the same techniques to his gall bladder issue that he did to the lakes at Wingham where he grew/grows such HUGE fish. Better to have done the GB thing the way the commercials grow fish - itty bitty.

Having more blood tests and if his white cell count is back to normal could come home tomorrow. They're trying to get everyone home for Christmas if they can so fingers crossed. However we'd both rather he stayed if there is any doubt.

It'll be some time before I'll be back on my feet, and all I want now is lots and lots of sleep - natural sleep that is!
