Hi Simon.

Thanks for the tip mate.

The hatch is fitting nice and tight, but wasnt locating properly on the rib at the top of the hatch opening, which should hold it fast to the Yak.

I cut a 3/4 inch piece off the hatch cover, all the way around the bottom edge, hoping it would locate properly, but alass, it wouldnt do the trick.

That was that cover nackered.

So thats why I added the straps,on cover number two, to actualy hold the hatch on.

I doubt it will actualy leak because it is a realy snug fit.

If it should leak, Ill try the rubber tubing.

If that dosnt work.........do you know anyone that want to buy a well loved and looked after Scrambler XT......complte with bailing bucket and pump :D

Yakity,

Do you mean the thickness of the polyethylene or the width of the hole, personally I'd rather it wasn't there, waste of deck space, I mean where is a chap to fit his radar and wheel house. :D

BOURNEMOUTH CANOES DO IT AGAIN.

Well, as promised, Simon dropped off my friends new Prowler 13 to his front door step, in person.

Along with a new paddle.

Both Yak, and the paddle were destroyed by the curriour service on the previous delivery.

Simon then came round to me, to bring another hatch.

Unfortunately, that one didnt fit either :(:D

My Kayak was made in Newzeland, so he is importing one from them now.

The guy just wont give in, like some would.

He is all out to offer a top class service, not just to sell us Kayaks.

YY :)
