That old chestnut!!!

 

in my meagre experience...

 

a/ take her fishing too, until she is more keen than you...if she doesn't get to that stage, divorce is the answer

 

b/ get her to go to a allergy specialist, here she will find out that she is allergic to all dairy products, red meat, alcohol etc...but she can eat fish. Then you are literally 'only going fishing for her benefit' ..if you don't bring home a meal...well you just have to go again until you do...it's your duty!

 

c/ combine both above and you will have virtually free reign...as long as said jobs around the house are seen to be reducing in number, therefore aquiring valuable brownie points!!!

Hi, well I do one job for her, and in return gets lots of free time for me, if I get pulled up, I always remind her of the last job I did, remember don,t start any long jobs like big DIY jobs, just lots of small ones, cutting the lawn, etc and then just split.lols. works for me.

When someone finds the difinitive answer to that you there will be a revolution. and the tackle industry will get a massive boost.

 

My kids are getting to the age of wanting to go fishing so it makes it a bit easier to get a permision slip when it means some peace for her indoors.

Hmm it seams this is a problem worth considering further with some useful routes to premision tickets. I will endevour to try some of these and let you know how I go.

 

The oply other ploy I have is to go at 4 am in the morning she never moans then, but she is usually snoring!!

Ear Defenders, works for me, you can't hear a damn thing, just smile and walk out the door and go fishing. Remember to remove whilst driving. On return home refit defenders... I've never been so happy.

Wake her up at 5am and ask her " Fishing or sex?". I'll gaurantee the reply will be " Don't forget your coat. They forecast rain later".

 

 

I just tell my wife that I'm going fishing. If she doesn't like it, tough!

i just tell her i'm off shagging, i usually get a suspicious look from her as she says " you're not fooling me, i saw you sneak the rods to the back of the car" or " how come the lamp has been charging all day ?"

 

she usually sees through it, i'm on dodgy ground however, when i come back smelling of fish.

 

You could do what i did down exmouth a few years back, on holiday, light fishing as the tide came in, i asked her to hold my rod while i went off to the loo. when i came back, she was hooked, she'd only caught a crab but that was enough. she now is on her 2nd beach caster, has her own boat rod, drop net & winter fishing gear.

 

i was jealouse back in august as she managed to get out to sea on a yak before i had got eric the yak in the water even.
