Our Peter Waller doesn't read the 'rags', so it can't possibly be his letter that I just read in this week's edition of Angler's Mail ;)

 D'oh!

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

any chance someone could put it up?

Sorry, but that will not be allowed. A few years ago I wrote and asked them if I could use an article they did about Weil's disease on this forum, even saying that I will give full acknowledgement to AM and the original author - they refused.

We'll just have to go out and read it in WH Smiths instead

The 'other' Peter Waller may care to share it with us. Basically, it was his view of the Nige Williams incident.

Isn't that very old news now, or has there been some other developments ?

I''ll have to have a word with the other PW!

Actually I have bought the last two editions of AM, seen a bit of improvement of late. The first one to tempt me had a crappy free float with the hole at the bottom blocked up!

In the letter mentioned I gave credit to AM for dumping Williams as a contributor following his latest court case. I suggested that if Williams had been an athlete then he would have been stripped of his records following his 'cheating' over the Irish live-bait issue.

I don't have a copy to hand but I also suggested that the ethics and sportsmanship of some other anglers, especially some pikers, is also open to question. I made the point that if angling wishes to be seen as a creditable sport, with a view to being on terrestrial TV, even an Olympic sport, then it needs to look at the way it conducts its business, it needs its participants to abide by the rules.
