Have you ever seen one on ebay or anywhere else up for grabs?

What kind of money do they usually make?

No sacrilege there, Steve - I am of the same mind. I have used a centrepin reel longer than most people; have Wallis Cast longer than most people; am able to Wallis Cast FURTHER than most people,

and probably have a bigger head than most people. :D

No doubt about it, Paul's 'pin' is a tad older, and dare I say it... longer, than most people's...and does tend to spin out a mighty long yarn! :D;) Maybe it's the GT85 he keeps spraying on it....?

Hi

I browse (lurk?) AN regularly (just had to re-register for some reason) but as I only fish for barbel I have not normally got anything to add. But centrepins are my preference, and I leger for barbel. In fact I caught my first barbel for 30 years on a fixed spool last season - I don't knock them I just don't often use them.

Perhaps you may be interested in my updated article on centrepins here where you will undoubtedly recognise the contributor(s) of some of the additional material (thanks to them)

Better still use some GT85 spray - that also leaves a residue - of teflon - very slippery stuff!

C.

That stuff, I have heard of Chris, but, where dost thou get it from?

I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any fellow - creature, let me do it now, let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.
