Cracking fish Rusty, a beauty for any day of the season and even better to end a season with a pb.

 

I think you may have found me in that swim if hadn't been for this little visit to the hotel Royal Berkshire Hospital. :-)

 

Hope the hospital visit went well Paul. The swim will still be there next season so you'll be able to test CP's theory that barbel might frequent it..

Hey Rusty what a great fish, well done for persevering, it's a rewarding experience. A 4lb perch is indeed a fine fish, a few years back you would have been in the angling press with a fish like that, but that's not meant to diminish your achievement. I'll maybe see you on the bank next year, I have already booked off 16th and 17th June.

 

I sneaked out for a couple of hours on Thursday and Friday, but decided to legering lumps of bread and stret- pegging. I got two fat chub on Thursday from the diminutive but lovely, river whitewater of 4lb8oz and annoyingly 4lb15oz my second biggest chub of the year - but I've only been out 10 times this year.
