The southern tip of the Mull of Galloway is 20 miles due south of Stranraer. It is Scotland most southern point. In fact it is south of Newcastle  It is approx level with Hartlepool. It is a lovely part of the country John. Thats why we have a static caravan there :)

On a clear day standing by that stone you can see Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Lake District. Honest :sun:

Here is your challenge then Steve.Pick your best telescopic lens and photograph me on the end of the Mull waving to you in the Lakes. If you manage that will buy your beers in all night :headhurt::headhurt:

Will call your bluff Steve  Do not suppose you can see the end of the Mull from the Lakes though Steve. The cliffs are only 100 and a bit feet high I think. Would love to see you achieve it though. I will keep my end of the bargain :)

Enjoyed trying to get some decent shots of Wasps flitting in & out of the last of the Himalayan Balsam the other day. Not good quality by any stretch of the imagination, but I like them.
