LOL, yea, it did look a little cold. I was down the beach today taking a few pics. It wasnt so cold as you can see. I think it was around 32 degrees.

Some great pictures folks. Just got back from Whitby a few hours ago.We had two days there for Dorothys birthday.here are some shots I took

 

Aye the old tripod and timer have their uses !!

On the way back today we stopped at a place called Danby on the North Yorkshire Moors.Dorothy made friends with a local

 

 

Check out these otters,very impressive,they were about 8 feet tall

 

 

A grey squirrel turned up at these bird feeders

 

 

The stuff he spilled was mopped up by a pheasant a nd a wood pidgeon

Got a floating dry dock due to leave the Tyne at 7pm tonight if anyone is in the area.It is leaving what was Swan Hunters shipyard and is destined for Mumbai.The Indians have also bought some large cranes as well and I think these will be on the dry dock.It has just been announced that a fourth tug has been requested for this departure. It should be quite something watching them leave the harbour mouth.

 

Looks like I have a date then

Just got back and now dried off and nearly thawed out Well the weather had been fine all day until an hour before departure time and the fog came down. As I arrived the heavens opened,just pleased I had taken a plastic bag to put my camera into !!! Got cracking on to three other photographers who were beside me.check out this mottley crew

 

 

Anyway 19.00 arrived and no sign of the flotilla coming down the river.Took this test shot

Phoned the harbourmaster and he informed me that there was a delay of about 45 minutes.Oh dear,what a waste of time Drowning my sorrows with a medicinal red now Better luck next time eh

Took the family down to the "hoppings" on Whitley Bay links today. We all had a riot

Except the river which was on aperture priority, shutter stepped down a couple of stops, to increase depth of field.
