Thought I'd add this image here. I originally entered it into the challenge, until I remembered that I'd cloned 'Mother' duck out (and not very well at that!) and heavy pp work isn't allowed ....

Only edits are Photoshop Autolevels and a resize. I think the EXIF data is still intact.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.
Vaut mieux ne rien dire et passer pour un con que de parler et prouver que t'en est un!

Out on Saturday, rounded the bend to the marina and came across this, the Old Gaffers, Pin Mill regatta race. For those that dont know, 'Old Gaffers' is a body of dedicated boat owners, their craft are in some cases over 100 years old!!! They are sail driven, and the sail rig is a 'Gaff rig configuration', denoted by the 'Y' shaped top section on the main sail, hence Old Gaffers.

I could not resist the sight of 20 old ladies of the sea, lovingly restored and cared for, in their natural element. Only problem, they were 1000 meters away, the water at the mouth of the river Stour is wide and deep, Harwich making a sympathetic back drop architecturally. Out came the old Sigma 70-300 APO (non digital version), the lens in its 'D' format, has received some discussion on 'AN photographic' recently. So it seemed appropriate to put these up for your perusal.

I had no tripod, so a sea wall and my camera bag had to do, enjoy :P:thumbs:
