mine would be to get better sport out of the fish that I catch by scaling down tackle, so that even modest fish can take a bit of line and really show what they are made of.

Also, a nice big local bass on a plug would make me smile :D

Live to fish!!

To catch some decent fish from Westcliff beach, nobody fish's it anymore but with the amount of crabs about, and with mussels on oysters thriving, fish must be comming to the shore and not half a mile out like everybody thinks.

I'm going to prove them wrong and keep it to myself ;)

i'v also started to make my own rigs instead of paying about £2 a pop for ready mades.

Is that Westcliff near Margate? Never fished that area. Birchington looks promising, as does Westgate Bay, with all that chalk covered in weed. Is anything caught there?

This year, as last was a lifetime best for me for Cod , I would like to catch a Bass over 5lb, my pb for Bass at the moment.

Also like to get back into Sole fishing at low tide at night with a light spinning rod and 2oz weight.

a double pollack,

a bigger bass than my only one so far of 2 1/2 lb,
