down the shore everything's alright, you with your baby on a saturday night,

don't you know that all my dreams come true, when i'm walkin' down the street

with you, sing sha la la la la la sha la la la.

I think it's Tom Waits and Jersey Girl

That it is!

Here's another

Well those drifter's days are past me now

I've got so much more to think about

Deadlines and commitments

What to leave in, what to leave out

Don't know that one. Well, actually, now I do (Google), but I've not heard it.

Bob Seger- Against the wind, Hey I got one !

Now one of my favourites

He's the hairy handed gent , who ran amok in Kent

Lately he's ben overheard in Mayfair.

I'd stay away from him, he'll rip your lungs out Jim

I'd like to meet his tailor.

You should have done, total classic. Contains the much debated line " Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then" The author is not sure this is correct, but many folk ( self included) are happy with it.

ARTIST: Warren Zevon

TITLE: Werewolves of London

Here's my verse..

I saw my baby early one morning

She was walking on down the street

I saw my baby early this morning

She was walking on down the street

You know it hurt me, hurt me so bad

Made my poor heart skip a beat

That's an Albert King song 'The Sky is crying' - but the only version I have is Stevie Ray Vaughan's.

Mine - possibly a little obscure, but those who know me will have a fair idea of the artist - Oh and to make it easier, I've put the first two verses in - omitting the title whichfollows the dotted line:

How many boys, one night stands

How many lips, how many hands have held you

Like I'm holding you tonight?

Too many nights staying up late

Too much powder, too much paint

Oh you can't hide from ...............

Edited by Alan Stubbs

This is a signature, there are many signatures like it but this one is mine

I had no idea, and looked for it on google and a lyrics search site - couldn't find it anywhere.

Here's another one:

I've seen the demons

But they didn't make a sound

They tried to reach me

But I laid upon the ground

I've seen the people

But they didn't make a sound

They tried to reach me

But I did a run around
