Right its this ones turn now, Ive done the bible, now Ive just downloaded the Qu'ran. So I wonder if this is the thing for me. Could it be a start of a wonderfull spiritual experiance, or could I end up board half way though and grab the old fav Shogun.

A fair bit shorter than the bible, but I think I'm right in saying some muslims memorize the whole thing - an impressive feat!

the bible has a fair bit of smiting but the begat'ting makes up for it ,whether the beggat'ter has a quiete smote after though only mr Tench could enlighten us as i forget who begat who its so saucy

A fair bit shorter than the bible, but I think I'm right in saying some muslims memorize the whole thing - an impressive feat!

 

I'm sure there are some of my grandmother's generation who could recite most of the bible, possibly including her sisters. They were youngsters around the Ashton-Under-lyne area in the '30s and '40s when it was still a hotbed of the peculiar Christian sects which sprung up around there in the nineteenth century. I keep meaning to find out more about the history of the area, but never get round to it. Anyway, two of her sisters at least got religion of the googley-eyed variety. Christmas and birthday cards always had illegibly scrawled bits of scripture in them.

Like The Bible, The Quran/Koran Is a source of Guidence And inspiration for millions of poeple Also like the bible some poeple have chosen to Pervert the message to Their own missguided ends, a shame as islam and the Arab world in Genral gave Humanity so much, espiacialy whilst Europe was in the dark ages,Medicine,Mathmatics,navigation,Hashish even some parts of our alphabet. I belive a lot of poeple are getting painted with some huge brush strokes at the moment and it is a shame.
