35lb bass

Holy cow!!!

 

Anyone know the maximum size bass grow to, either theoretically or factually?

It seems to be at least 35lbs.

I will confess to not believing the 35lb weight quoted.

 

It's definitely big but no way that big in my eyes.

It makes the doubles I saw caught last year look like tiddlers and the biggest was 13lb 8ozs, Vagabond may confirm that.

D'you reckon it is 35lb?

 

If the bloke holding it is about 150lb(nearly 11 stone), it looks about right.

It looks like 35 to me, but that is one hell of a fish. Very unusual to say the very least. Being a cynic, I get the feeling that something isn't quite right with it, but I don't know what it might be. I know that some very big rainbow trout have been reared over here, so I suppose the same could be done with bass in a bass farm? I don't know, it's just a mind blowing fish.

Ignore the bloke for a moment, and concentrate on the bass and thumbs that are showing.I`d put it at 15lbs.......still a very nice fish! But that photo does do a lot of favours.
