Excellent Den, as you've really got the Robins confidence, are you planning a series of shots "zoomed in"? That would be just perfect if it could be done..

Julia - how much free diskspace do you get on Photobox? I've just used up my free 50meg on Photobucket.

Just had a look Den, if you could speed it up a little more than at 1 second intervals it would look like a real movie. How long did it take for that Robin to come to you like that? It will be sitting there eating out of your hand in no time.

I have been making plans...........I set the camera on a fairly wide angle to make sure the bird and my hand were somewhere in the frame Next time (if I get that swim) I will set up a marker post and prefocus and zoom in on, then put my hand on top.

 

It gets a bit "tense" trying to keep my hans fairly still so as not tp spook the bird.......having got its confidence the last thing I want is to scare it

Looking forward to next week, who knows, I may even catch a carp as well

 

TB I could, and probably will, take the video camera soon. I think the minimum speed on the photobox is 1 sec, I have no other control over it.

I was going to suggest that, a rod rest would be good and if you have one with a rubber or soft plastic top it should be comfortable for your hand too.

hey den sounds great but as mentioned i'll have to sign up to view the pics

 

anyhow it sounds like a good site tho so great! will do

 

i know that not everyone has photoshop but i'm sure there are other freebie programs which also do a 'slap / bang' photo gallery in seconds and then provides a url or something..

 

not too sure if this really is the case as i'm totally amateur and at present mearly reading tutorials in magazines until i get my hands on a copy of PS but it looks pretty easy to do... maybe even link it to something like 'myspace.com'

 

i'm just trying to think of ways where we can do this without having file size limits or restrictions and maybe a link to an easy photo gallery without having get new people to sign up all the time. i've prolly got it all wrong knowing me but someone plz correct me.. thanks

you can view the pics without signing up mate....just go to the photo galleries on the left then birds and find robbins.......should be around about page 5
