Great photo, great dog! Well Done Gillies.

I hate getting up early, I didn't even realise there were two 6 o'clocks in one day!

Well Done that is a great photo with lots of action.

I bet your dog needed a good rest after all that exercise.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

Nice one Gillies, look forward to your challenge.

I am finding this comp very interesting/challenging.

For example, I never considered entering any pics of my dog playing in the sea or river. Why? well I have a couple of hundred taken over the years so tended to think that "another one" would not be of any interest. How wrong I was :)

Thanks loads to everyone who voted for my shot - I did have a slight advantage in having a dog and living by the sea, sorry ... ironically he hates the camera, point it at him and he turns his head.

I took a number of shots of him in a field and in the sea, and then picked out my favourite two ... here are the ones I was going to enter.

Too get him to run in the water, I was throwning wee stones in and he'd splash through the waves to get them, was a nasty bright sun shinning right into me so taking the shots was pretty hard going ... thats why colouring not great in water shots.

Running up and down the field - I just crouched down as much as I could to get half decent perspective and framing, asked him to sit, then walked 20 meters or so, held the camera in one hand and a stick in the other and shouted him, and took shots as he ran to me.

Like the one with the tree in his mouth he must a very big dog.

I think that would have been a finalist as well.
