Got fed up when they asked my yearly earnings???

What's that got to do with things?

I suppose that, when they're surveying the economic impact, the potential economic impact would come into play. i.e. how much you could spend on angling, if you thought it was worth it.

It would also tell them what percentage of your income you currently spend on your sport.

It all got a bit much on the third time around, different species... different region etc... so I gave up.

Maybe the survey is really to find out how tenacious anglers are, and whether we soldier on to the bitter end or quit half way through like me!

Our perception of time as an orderly sequence of regular ticks and tocks has no relevance here in the alternative dimension that is fishing....... C.Yates

Its about where we fish, what we fish for, what we spend and what we spend it on. If you reach a point in the survey where you have nothing more to add, then just close the window and its all over. If you don't give these people some basic statistics about our fishing lifestyles, then we'll have no real expectation of them spending future budgets on things (and places) that matter most. I've been a critic of the EA in the past, as have others. If we dont give them at least basic facts to work with, then future spending is all supposition and guesswork. Fill in the survey, at least as far as you can, it makes sense.
