I frequently read on here about concerns that an automobile will be too small to comfortably hold the fishing gear.

 

I find myself wondering why more folks don't have small, light, easy-to-tow utility trailers. The smaller ones can be easily pulled by even the smallest auto and should easily hold all the gear a couple of anglers would need for a week's session on the water.

 

I am probably missing something here but am at a total loss to figure out what.

LOL - lovely auto John.

 

I don't need a trailer because I drive a truck.

 

Just sorta wondered if they would make sense for folks who had small, fuel efficient autos that lacked storage space.

Two problems wth trailers in the UK.

1. Reversing the things. Our roads are narrow and twisty and in rural areas, they're often single track. Having to reverse uop with a trailer is a pain in the bum.

2. We live in a land populated by thieving bar stewards.

That, and my husband is WAY too trusting of people. I just can't seem to be able to beat the Arkansas-boy mentality out of him. I, on the other hand, grew up in a large city and trust no one.

Actually, Elton, he doesn't. I have strong feelings about guns in the house and he respects those feelings. But we do have a watch dog - a dachshund? He would lick to death anyone who dared enter our home. :huh:
