HELP! want to know best area to stay .......want to catch conger..........would like to stay at hotel or similar or sc cottage......prefer to stay off the beaten track......what would you consider to be the prime time......do I need innocculating..........can I wear a silly hat?

Hi Richi,

If you are coming down this end try to avoid the school summer holiday periods as it gets a little congested so to speak everywhere. Camping would be a cheaper option but book well in advance with whatever acommodation (cant spell now  ) route you wish to go.

Im sure if you let us all know down this end when you are coming down a couple of trips could be arranged.

You will be surrounded with beutiful spots to visit and fish.

As for the school hollidays........god knows, mine left years ago :D

As has been said already, when your down here give us a shout, we could maybe organize a meet and have a fish together, sure the other lads will be up for it.

Cheers.

Bill. :)

Beware it could be a trap! People have gone down them there parts and never been seen again.

Nobody has ever actually managed to track down the exact ingredients of one of those odd pies they have down them parts. That could be the next tribe along.

Fished since 2003, the rest of my life I just wasted.

Richi,

It's a fabulous spot,30-40 mins from me.

Great fishing for all the usual species.Bit iffy if it's rough but that goes for anywhere along that coastline and it's not too far to drive for some sheltered spots(like Salcombe-15 mins)

This should help:
