Why not add a mathmatics module ?

You have two £50 rods, a £1.50 bankstick, a £15 landing net and a £21.75 brolly in a £9.99 Aldi rod bag.

You also have a £10.99 folding stool/tackle bag containing two ££30.00 reels, a £6.50 bag of boilies, a 99p tin of Luncheon meat and about £10 worth of bits.

The whole lot is stolen when someone breaks into your car.

How much is it worth by the time you fill in the insurance claim ?

How about a bit of Civil Engineering and Maths?

Dig a pond 100m dia' and 2m deep.

Calculate the number of carp averaging 2lb you can stock it with, using a ratio of 1000lb per acre.

Calculate the volume of fish, and the volume of water, when it is filled to 150mm from the top.

For extra marks.

Take the volume of water, and calculate the amount and best mix of dry concrete you need to add, to turn it into something useful, (like a skate park).

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

A little statistics - by empirical information, derive the function f describing the relationship y=f(x) where x is the amount of money an angler thinks his trip to the tackle shop will cost and y is the average actual spend. Derive also the function g describing the relationship z=g(y) where y is the average actual spend and z is how much the angler tells his wife he spent. Do not show your working, in fact burn it before your wife sees it.

This is where sociology needs to step in. In the problem above you are advancing from the position that 'the angler' is likley to be a male, and that there is a wife who should be decieved. This is an awfully sexist and heterosexist post and no doubt the moderators will be on you quickly, cya in a week when your suspension is up. ;)

You can't blame me, I'm merely the product of my environment. The mods will suspend society instead.

(Actually, although I joke about the stereotype, my wife never complains about me buying myself things - mind you, she's bought herself a new flute, sax and clarinet over the last 12 months, and they cost a tad more than my fishing gear ;) )

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong
