As Alan said it definitely looks like something made in clay maybe terracotta?

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

Definitely looks like unfired clay, and the immediate surroundings suggest that it's about to enter a kiln. I'm with Alan on the "abstract sculpture".
