Is that a fact? If so could anybody give me a link to all the speices in the thames?

I had two of them this morning :)

 

I suspect that the sturgeon was planted by Anglers Mail just to boost circulation :)

I take it that was a joke, Argyll? Anglers Mail haven't been around for many years for nothing and are usually one of the first places people call when seeing something unusual, or catching a big fish.

It wasn't planted I can assure you...

 

It came floating past me and the match editor as we were talking to an eel angler.

 

It was about 10-15 lb wouldn't like to be anymore precise than that as it was minging....been 'gone' for quite some time.

 

It may seem odd that it was found by a fishing mag but had on my heart it was not planted!!!

Nice to see you on here.

 

I hadn't realised you'd found it 'first hand', so to speak.

 

I used to have smaller (a lot smaller) diamond sturgeon in my pond and they were always extremely difficult to keep, which is why I don't bother with them. If this fish was removed from a pond and placed in the Thames, I'd hazard a guess that it didn't last long
