Hi all

the other day me and the family decided to go to east/west wittering to fish

we left at 1am not last night but the night before and arrived to find it was gale force winds:(

well no fish caught and loads of time spent ripping weed off my line the size of small dogs:)

we decided to head back to the car(saab 9000i)and get some sleep as we had planned a day of it fishing and showing the misses some old surfing haunts.

well the sleep was ok considering i was close enough to the wheel it almost became a part of me:)

got up and my hair was a complete explosion of fashion(you know what thats like surly:)plus smelling of makeral.

well the day went ok untill we got home!!

the kids wanted to play with the local neigbours kids so i told them to stay out near the grass(in view of the kitchen window.

well my eldest comes in and whines like they do and as i finished telling her off i look outside and the youngest is gone!!

the neighbours girl was gone and another one (little boy!

well after scouring the area shouting i see a familar bob hair style of my youngest, they were right up the road in the next footpath(across a main road!!)atleast several thousand yards away

i spot them and they spotted me!

the neighbours boy and another ones girl came flying across the road and didnt even look back as my 4yr old bobs across the road without even looking.

fortunalty no boyracers and they all made it home only to find that the reason they wonder`d off was becuase the girl neigb said"lets chase the ice cream man"

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

i also got told by her mum who was also out looking that just a day before she had to call the coast guard becuase her girl walked off at te beech!!

what a nightmare and the visions ive been getting of my little one being thrown over a speeding car in front of me.

it took a second and they were 3 roads away and couldnt hear us at all

im lucky my little girl even came back as she was just following to play with them and im lucky she didnt get split up!!

never gonna play with the little sh*t next door were my words as i got them in.

kids hey what fun and fond memories!!!ummmmmmmm

and being a reported 22 pedo`s in this dump i was livid.

holidays eh dont you just love em!!

i had that deep welling feeling and that aint happening again i can tell ya

i mean chase the ice cream man is that clever NO!!!

DAMN KIDS:)

i know the feeling billy5k, i got 3 of them & it's hard to keep track of them, eldest got attacked by a pedo when she was 9, we live in a quiet country town where you wouldnt expect much trouble, this guy followed her home from the park & waited till they were alone on the industrial estate.

had the police round yesterday as my 11 year old & his mate were attacked by 3 13 year olds, bit stupid attacking someone when they know where you live. police took it very seriously & will feel the lads collars.

police round here are very helpfull.

all the kids are fine despite the experiences.

DAMN KIDS:)

Sounds more like damned irresponsible parents to me Billy.

There is no way (IMO) a four year old should be allowed out unsupervised by adults.

Other kids just don't have the awareness 100% of the time to stop bad things happening.

It may be a pain and not fit in with all the other things you want to do but that's what being a responsible parent entails.

Sorry Billy, but that's my opinion.

No billy it doesn't make you a bad parent, only a mere mortal. Not even adults can be 100% aware of every eventuality. All you can do is the best you can, instill an awareness of the dangers into your kids (without making them scared of every situation) and trust that they are prepared for most things and can cope if a situation arises. IMO the fear of danger, far out weighs the actual risk. This is brought about by sensational reporting, media hype and knee jerk reactions to reported cases.

i blame the parents (damn this means me too) you now see why you were locked in your room till you were old enough to obey (it took 11 years)with several escape attempts in his case.

those long trips to your ho;idays you were sick on were 15 minutes of being twirled round blindfolded then let loose in the front garden (never worked that out we said it was devon ;)

we had a pedo 3 doors away to worry about and a police protected ,name changed pukker one too

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong
