Regulars will know I'm always recommending Good Fishing alarms. These British-made products are ultra-reliable and, as you buy post free direct from the manufacturer, are excellent value for money. Check out the special offer of the week and the multi-buys at http://www.good-fishing.co.uk/index.html.

I'd add that I have no connection with Good Fishing other than being a very satisfied customer.

LOL, thanks to Steve these alarms are forever ingrained on my mind, and since one of my microns packed up the other week will be getting a couple. :D

It all depends on how much you want to spend?

Askari do some dirt cheap alarms (perca I think?) and there are some very cheap alarms available, however for the extra money you could buy a bottom end range from fox, good reliable alarmsfor 20-40 quid each. Also check ebay as there will definately be some cheapish fox alarms on there.

Shop around. sometimes the local tackle shops have bargains as good as on line, buy the best you can afford, Delkims, Fox,etc .

An angler is a man who spends rainy days sitting around on muddy banks doing nothing because his wife won't let him do it at home.

i brought 2 argos specials for 14 quid each complete with bag ,insulation taped up the battery compartment for exta waterprofing and have had great results with em for 5 months thru the wettest and worst conditions available .

For a hard pressed cash strapped junior or bloke who thinks spending 60 quid on em is bollacks ,they do me

just fine.

would be interested to know why on earth people would spend so much on the damn things!

whats does a "Quality " alarm do which mine cannot?
