Norfolk & Suffolk Broads need your help.

Locations now edited out. Not that I got anything near the bank (and was away from the three points where you can access the bank due to people already fishing there), and it's a big sheet of water (and I've yet to see another kayak angler about). But point taken.

Wetter than an otter's pocket.

Hello Peter

I've only just caught this thread, I've signed the petition & posted the information to the other groups....

Cheers

We have just had a major fish kill on the Broads due to the salt water pushing up into the system. Its all part of the problems that the Broads suffer from. We need your support, we really do. Fishing Magic is giving us great support, come on AnglersNet, we need you!

How far has it got Peter? Colin picked up loads of dead silvers at Beccles, presumably from height rather than salt but not certain. Any info?

Didn't think it had hit the Waveney, that is bad. Still, stock up the freezer. It begs many questions regarding the flood alleviation scheme that must be answered.

Couldn't agree more!

I fished at Beccles last Saturday. Fishing was suprisingly good just after low tide, but as the tide came up, the fishing died.

On breaking my tackle down, I bit through my weak link off my boom (as you do) and the taste of salt ran through my mouth...kinda explains why the fishing died, I think.

The Flood Alleviation scheme must be a factor at the very least?

Back on topic...I've signed (number 792) and urge anyone, whether you're local or not, to sign - you may one day have a trip up to the broads in the future, it would be a great shame if you couldn't fish the broads as they are now....arguably some of the best fishing locations in the country.
