I am offended by postings that refer to race, religion, sexual persuasion, eating habits and fishing ability - or anything else that could be construed as offensive to someone.

I have certain thoughts on the above choice but can't make a choice on vote because the choices are grouped together.

I am offended by posts of a racist nature (and other such things) but not posts that merely refer to them in a sensible context.

We could have a philosophical debate here! surely issues are only offensive because we choose to be offended, offence is not an autonomic response like pain over which we have no control?

 

As simple example is a child’s tantrum, most parents will not be offended or upset by a screaming child, we choose not to be, you could apply exactly the same principle to a post. I am rarely offended but often interested to see if the poster really believes what they say, has not written very clearly or just messing about its all part of life's rich pageant!

 

And heh we are supposed to be a tolerant society, we are all allowed to think what we like, its only consequential actions that may be illegal/immoral. Hence I support the communist party/greens/BNP's right to stand for election but will fight with the last to stop injustice. On the other hand I hate bad manners?!!

Have you issues with tongues or just out to cause trouble and unrest in the camp?
