I would worry about the content not the size. Its a picture of a man with a big pole coming out of his flies (Its the expression that goes with that sort of activity that gets me). ;-)

n4lly - what we try for is two things

 

-a picture that will fit on screen for most folks looking in the forums.

 

- a picture that will load in a reasonable period for a slower dial up connection like the 28.8 that is the best some of our members can manage.

 

Generally 640x480 and .jpg format will be fine as will any smaller than that. 800x600 will fit on screen for most folks these days so not too bad.

 

The one you posted is a little large in both dimensions and file size but while it may annoy a few, it won't hurt anyone.

Its not the camera, pic size or loading I have a problem with, its remembering to get the camera out when something interesting is happening Action shots are much more fun but we are usually too involved in whats going on to be snapping - thats why we have so many pics of chaps/esses holding fish after the action has died down. Still good to share though
