As it happens my handle was Ziggy.

But when I was winding the lady breakers up it was Dick Thrust. :D

Oh and now and again I used the handle Wacky Racer. :)

A gal I knew used "busy beaver" but I'm not sure the slang meaning of 'beaver' for a female person may not be the same over there. "Mother Trucker" belonged to a guy with a pretty deep voice so he may have been trying for some sort of American version of rhyming slang.

I use CB in the truck at work and also in my off roader. Usefull tools.

I keep well away from channel 19 which is full of foul mouthed idiots playing music and tryimng to wind people up.

It is making a small comeback, partilly due to no licence from 10 dec 06.

Try http://www.lamcommunications.net/index2.html very helpfull and knowledgeable.

or http://www.thunderpole.co.uk/index.htm most of the kit from thunderpole can be bought from the link above at a slight discount.

My handle now is Cameraman, used to be DD (double d) in the old days, and I had a lit up Double diamond beer pump in window of truck. (was the only decent beer outside of Yorkshire that I could get).

Mine was Checkmate ................cos I`m a wiz at chess.

I had a cobra 148 with a upper & lower SSB, midnight etc ,etc, with a sigma 4 on the roof of the flat where I lived at the time........the flats were 4 story`s high, and the sigma was on a scafolding pole , so everytime I keyed the mike .........half the town got oblitorated by my signal (bled over )........................those were the days...............
