A Nice Catch of Mullet

Recommended Posts

Exactly what i was saying isnt it 'commercials say they dont cause pressure on fish stocks' 'anything anglers suggest is sh1t'

Why not take yer ball home ?

Newsflash guys, fishing puts pressure on fish stocks (commercial or otherwise) and we have to work together whether some of us like it or not.

Stop the the front page!!!!!!!!! UKIP win the election and pull the uk out of europe, fishing limits return to pre-commen market time, can all uk stakeholders sort out our fisheries like Iceland did?????????????????????????????????????????????????

steve

There are still avenues down which we can go (pre UKIP) thinking with a little co-operation yes the uk stakeholders could sort things out like iceland did, maybe not as well initially but rome wasnt built in a day and theres no nation as stubborn and bloody minded as the british.

Personally i like Wurzells idea but i dont think sinking the french is counted as politically correct any more, i think i was born a couple of hundred years too late.

If I ever get the hang of it they'll bloody well ban it!

By the way anyone fancy sponsoring me in the WSOP?

Hello Stavey

I doubt there is much that can be done short of all out war over the historic rights issue. It would be nice if we were all fishing to the same rules though. We all know that the French are a law unto them selves and again not much short of a war will change them.

I think Steve G has already done a bit of lobbying in that direction.

Ok wurzel thats no good then, how about lobbying the eu to make other country's obide by our rules when they come inside our 12 mile limit ie, the 40cm minimum mls for bass for instance still something that may provide a benefit for us both maybe??

Even if that good thing happend, the rsa would still be plugging for mls increase and ntz. etc, etc, and commercial would look for more quota, etc etc. The good thing is that we would have a lot more money to waste at home instead of giving it to the eu for nothing in return.

So what has iceland got or what did they do to make it better? Apart from the cod war that is.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

I don't think Iceland made any thing better, they just got it all for them selves.

How old are the cod caught the most in the North Sea? 2-3 years? (below spawning age/size)

http://www.fisheries.is/stocks/cod.htm

Cod is mostly caught by bottom trawl, long line and gillnet and usually at depths of 100 - 250 m and ocean temperatures of 4 - 7 °C. The most common age of the landed catch is 4-7 years weighing 1 - 4 kg but larger fish are also caught.

I have never fished in water any were near 100m deep.

And the southern North sea rearly drops below 7 degrees.

And your point is?

Did you actually read those words before you posted, or too much shore leave? :drunk:

So you don't think Iceland exports what others used to catch then.

Most if not all our cod is imported from Iceland and Norway where they have looked after the fishery.

Just try and imagin Wurzel what our fish stocks could of been like if the creedy commercial fishermen had not of almost bled them dry. You might of been even ritcher that you are now!
