since reading this i think i will give hissing Sid a free run of the hallway ,

he is a Water Moccasin ,

there ain't many places in the UK with anti venom for this little dude ,

yes a do have a license for him ..

wait to you go out ,open door ,wait ten minutes in this cold weather then hissing sid will be a snake skin covered walking stick !

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

 

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Guys you are all missing the most important point here.Locks are only to keep honest people out. If a thief wants to get in he will no matter what locks you are using.

 

 

True enough but if there are two houses side by side one has good locks, cameras and an alarm, the other has little or no security - which one is the burglar going to pick? Its mostly about deterring opportunists and reducing the likelihood

 

BTW way why is that most alarms are fitted after a burglary? are we stupid or what?!

Water Moccasins can surely bite and can surely make you sick but other than very small children or adults who are allergic to the venom, a single snake will not do more than give you a few very bad days.

 

The few US deaths from them occur when someone stumbles into a nest of the things and takes bites from 10-30 snakes within a few seconds.

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Well, there's a site in Devon selling bump keys for Yale locks for a tenner plus a fiver for P&P.

Even if 5 lever mortise locks are requirement for insurance purposes, I bet you could get into a lot of houses with one of those.

 

Biggest problem when I'm travelling is cardable locks. I simply won't stay in a place unless I can either see that it's secure or I can use my own padlocks.

I've now opened doors for three people who have been locked out of their rooms abroad and without exception, they've been horrified at the speed that I've been able to open the door at - usually much faster than with a key.
