Ian I'll be over at Easter, so if you collect the stones and leave them on our driveway I'll sort them out for you, Gina says can you also leave some nice big white ones to edge a flower bed with LOL

How hard is it to drill a hole in pebble? Saw some of the mentioned 'weights' in the carp section of tackle shop the other day and was wanting to have a go myself at making them.

Depends what sort of stone it is. Something soft like sandstone will be easy, granite will be too hard and will possibly shatter. Wet sandstone has no strength by the way, so make sure it's dry when you drill it.

This is awful news! I find all the lead I need to make decent sinkers when I am snorkeling or scuba diving. If everyone starts using pebbles I won't be able to tell the difference between sinkers and pebbles! I'd probably have to pick up hundreds of pebbles before I found a sinker!
