Pub landlord gives 2 fingers to the smoking ban

mr motorola

Do you agree with the new ban?

62 members have voted

  1. 1. Smoking or Non-smoking? If the pubs / clubs and bingo hall managers had the choice of Smoking or Non-Smoking for their estasblishment , what would the majority vote be?

    • Smoking allowed
      2
    • No Smoking allowed
      3

With your "false" May I ask what you are on" Ask someone from the legion, ask someone who PLAYS bingo, Brenda is a member of the Legion and it is now strictly NO SMOKING,

Show me ONE BIT of legislation exempting these buildings !!

Your making them up!

YOU ARE IN TOTAL DENIAL!!!!!

Just to repeat what I said earlier:

So you CAN smoke "AT the legion" just not "IN the legion". There is a very important difference.

AT would imply not IN. In which case it would be incorrect to state that you cannot smoke AT the legion (or where ever), simply put you can smoke AT the legion, just not inside the enclosed building.

It's quite simple english really - I don't know why you struggle with it so much.

Respect to you rob.

And if all smokers took the same responsible unselfish attitude then a ban would never have been an issue.

This is my first post on this topic and after reading the posts it is very obvious that each camp is well entrenched and the battle lines are drawn and it would appear that there will be no movement from any side, which is quite understandable.

I myself am a smoker and i must say that a law which protects non-smokers from secondary inhalation of smoke must be viewed in a positive way. What i cannot understand about the law in question is why there cannot be smoking establishments for smokers and only smokers, what gives non-smokers the right to have access to all premises and smokers the right to none( in which they can smoke).

This Country should still be protective of freedom of choice, i believe the main reason that choice has been totally eradicated from this law is that most owners of business premises would choose to opt on the side of smokers and therefore the poor old non-smoker would be back to square one, and we can not have that CAN we.

If there is someone who can explain to me why there should not be smoking only Pubs, Clubs and restaurants i would very much like to hear that as a coherent argument.

I know you made a reply Mr M, but i was hoping that an explanation from the ban supporters may have been forthcoming after a week

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

"Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work."

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

It has been answered exhaustively throughout this long long thread. Try reading and you'll find the answers.

That one might be too hard to answer. ;)

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Nick, Thanks for that, now I know you are not only a bigot but a pedant too!! For your information, if you WANT to be pedantic. Legion meetings are held in a Hall inside a building. If you go outside the building you are no longer AT Legion. Please don't try and play with words!

I have called you a bigot because, no matter what is said you are determined that smokers will not smoke inside any public building again, irrational as that is.

Smokers want a choice to smoke in comfort, where people like you will have no excuse whatsoever to stop them smoking.

I wonder what you are going to do in the Summer when the smokers are all outside, enjoying the summer sun, AND THEIR FAGS!!!

Wordbender - Why??????????????? Have you cornered the market on them??

No. I simply use the correct amount. Try it.

While you're sorting out your punctuation, look up the definition of 'pedant'. You'll think you're reading your biography.

And on the eighth day God created carp fishing...and he saw that it was pukka.

Oh dear, more shouting.

I expect Nick will do the same as everyone else and enjoy having a drink in the sunshine. That's what we've all done for years, isn't it?
