There were more than 100,000,000 ballots cast. At 30 seconds per ballot it would take a voter about 9 and a half years to count them all. That's one hell of a long shift.

The very system where the votes could be checked will improve the honesty i think .

PS we live in the 21st century we dont hand count anything if we need to, steam counting traction engines exist i am sure

Unfortunately the whole political system is based on voter trust because few have any means to challenge what is told to us nor even know how what is said was true in the first place ,any shennanigans are easily hidden away for decades

I am pretty sure that at least postal ballots are counted by hand in the States. I have seen the counting centres.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Probably because sorting will be needed ,but once they have been sorted into two groups and the spoiled ballots removed i think they are machine counted

I think with advancing tech and well designed ballot papers even the sorting could be avoided ,my old printer reverses paper sides so if the ballot appears blank the ballot could be flipped and recounted.

But anything can be forged trump is spot on saying the postal system is corrupt it is here to!

I think our system is wide open to fraud ,there no check on who the voter is bar checking the address the voter says they live in,i presume if the address crops up again the ballot must be excepted incase the first ballot was illegal ,the illegal one will be counted theres nothing to show which one it was

Could be or there a narrow margin and a recount?

I wonder how they find absolutely unbiased operatives ,it would be simple for the dishonest to class votes for the unliked  candidate as spoilt and spoil them 'accidentally'

Lots of disinfectants  are bleach ,lots are not chlorine based IE alcohol ,whats the problem?

I use BZK ,chlorine based bleaches ("bleach" and Milton) and propanol all are disinfectants as is soap etc alcohol and bleach are instant the rest ccumulativeand work but slower but kinder to the skin at the correct dose (very very bad at the wrong dose!)
