If it was real?

He seemed not in the slightest breathless ,just seeing a bear would have me borderline heart attach especially in bourne woods

I've watched that clip before. I'm not convinced it is real. This clip is a bit more realistic and not the way I'd like to spend the first day of my holiday. It could have went real bad if those cute little cubs got a bit too curious.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

They don't look like they're hunting him, but they're definitely interested - I wonder if some throbber has been feeding them.

They know he is there, that's bad enough.

I bet bears know we are there far more often than we know they are there. It's the reaction which is troubling.

I don't know. I've been about 500 yards from Himalayan bears (the ones with the V neck pullovers) when I worked for a tree surgeon in Glasgow. We had to go into the Loch Lomond Bear Park. I don't know if the bears knew we were there or not. There was a bloke in a Land Rover with a big gun between us and the bears. They didn't like the sound of the chain saws.

They didn't pay much heed to us chesters1. They had to put fences round all the trees in the park in the end. It was bears ripping the bark off that killed the tree we had to go in and fell.

Our fault ,sugar puffs have hardly any sugar anymore so the poor beasts are trying to supplement it with tree sap

Unfortunately jeremy got 20 years for smuggling maple syrup ,went mad in solitary and on his release tried to eat an arm which ofcourse is not exactly sugar filled but has a little ,got caught and suffered the consequences
