Get well

Best wishes Paul. I know how you feel to some degree. My car desided it wanted to go off a bridge rather than over it last year on a dark and wet St. Stephen's Day (sorry, Boxing Day over your side). Well the wall stopped me and I was blessed to walk away unscathed but spent all my Christmas holidays repairing (and paying for) my car :( These things are sent to try us. Get well soon...

What`s all this?

I managed to hit an oil slick, shortly after the crashed vehicles were removed. But before the fire brigade attended to wash the road free of the slippery stuff?

My car should be back on the road shortly.

The only injuries that worry me? I can`t remember my pin number!! I`ve lost 2 cards today.

To add insult to injury. I`ve lost most of the use of my right hand. But the specialist reckons that it is only short term. He was amazed that I still kept my arm.

Don`t worry folks. I`m back at work. I just keep forgetting details. There is however one good point. If I should die whilst at work?? Victoria gets all my pension rights plus £40,000 in cash immediately!

Nothing is going to stop me from fishing with Davy in October!!

Paul.

PS. I`m getting better by the day. I hope your fishing is doing the same?

OK folks.

As most of us do. I have the drivers window open and lean my elbow on it? That`s why the doc was amazed I`d kept my arm, let alone me hand.

The only damage to my motor was a long scrape on the drivers side. The fire-brigade had to move my car to release my hand from the tree that stopped the car from tipping into the grand union cannal.

Question. How many knuckles have you on your right hand? I`ve got 4, the same as you. But I`ve now got 2 on either side of my hand. Just hope that I can still wind a granny reel.

Myself and Victoria have been to the pub tonight. She still maintains I drink too much!!

Thanks for all the kind thoughts.

Paul.

Well Paul, you are obviously a versatile chap

if you were managing to drink a pint left handed.

On a more serious note, don't worry too much about

the "extra" knuckles. I promise you from experience that they do disappear.

Get well soon Paul and remember that the best convalescence anyone can have is a nice bit of

fishing.

Cheers

Bill
