Any walkers out there ?

I posted before that we are off to a place near Aviemore next April, but I'm looking for info on walks in the area that are not too technically difficult, but with good hill/mountain views. For me the main concern is navigation and making sure we can follow routes without getting lost. We will have detailed maps of the area and I have found some routes online (eg Walking Britain) but I can't get too much feel for the walks just reading their descriptions. I'm also considering getting a handheld GPS as a lot of walks now have GPS waypoints marked.

Anyway any info or pointers gratefully received !

Hi Rob ..

A bit corny I know but ...

Try Google "Aviemore Walks" :D

Yeah done that and have some answers and some web sites, I'm just trying to get all the possible info I can, and some personal recommendations would be of use to us.

Cheers,

Rob.

Get the GPS. You'll quickly fall in love with it.
