Looks like it's the turn of the South-East for some water :(

Some torrential downpours, along with a high chance of flash flooding arise as the low pushes further North.

At present, the risk is for Kent, West Sussex, London and later Essex and East Anglia, however some models take the risk slightly further West into the Midlands.

Gales are also likely for a time as the low deepens across the South and East coast.

Please follow all updates on this situation, rainfall totals of up to 40mm, perhaps up to 60mm locally can be expected during Friday leading to further flooding.

We fished off the north Devon coast today slipping across like pirates from Barry :clap2: All day we could see large black clouds and lighting flashing over the land but it was moving very slowly. Around 2pm it started to rain heavy so by 4pm we decided enough was enough and crept off home. My wife said it did not start raining where we live until 7pm so it took all day to cross the Bristol Channel.

As I sit here now it is very close still but no rain currently.

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM

There was thunder and lightening earlier on in the week but nothing here in Herts over the last couple of days (that I could see or hear anyway). It's been wet all morning here today, but at the moment the rain is just light showers.

A little rain this morning, but watching the rainfall radar, it seems that we missed a brush with some of the really heavy stuff that moved north-east to the east of here, and I've high hopes that the bigger area of heavy stuff to the west is swinging north too fast, and will pas us to the west.

But it could be a close thing.

Skies are dark and leaden.

(Watching the animation replay , it looks as though the Medway Towns have an invisible force-field, splitting the rain areas and sending them past to the East & West of us)

Thanks for the reports lads.

My wife is travelling down to see my daughter in London this afternoon. We are a bit worried in case of disruption in rail travel. Not seen anything reported on the web yet, but if you could keep the reports coming, (esp' the M1- A1 corridor, that's roughly the route of the rail line), it would be of great help and possibly put my wifes mind at rest, (or not, as the case maybe  ).

Cheers

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John
