A look at issue 246, on sale May 18th – June 15th, 2011

Improve Your Coarse Fishing (IYCF) calls itself the “bible of fishing” – it’s true to say that many a budding angler regards it as such, as it really does show them the light when it comes to fishing. Mind you, it also leads you down the path of temptation….temptation to get out there and wet a line!

Even better value for money, Improve Your Coarse Fishing is now split in two separate publications that complement each other perfectly. In the main ‘Improve’ you’ll find a new slant on modern fishing as we emphasise the great things about our sport and celebrate why we go angling. The best in fishing photography, more descriptive writing, longer features to let the pictures breathe and less hard core instruction have made the magazine a more relaxed read where every page reminds you how great fishing is. There’s now a 23-page tackle section that has doubled in size and gives a lot more exposure to new kit hitting the market.

And the second part of the new IYCF is a 48-page collectable supplement called Tips & Tactics – this is a technical, mechanical and explicitly ‘How To’ magazine that’s aimed solely at improving angler’s skills. Each issue contains expert instructional features on float, feeder, pole, carp and specialist fishing so no matter what type of fishing the reader is interested in there’s something to put into practice.
