Why is it sport that the u k has never repeated the summer of 1976? Kept me busy for 25 years. :thumbs:

 

And why is it that there's snow on the sand dunes not repeated for 43 years apart from a dusting.

Because there's a difference between an event and a trend.

Species caught in 2020: Barbel. European Eel. Bleak. Perch. Pike.

are right, the event in the summer of 1976 continued into the summer of 1977, however it wasn't so long and hot, it tailed off.

 

I remember another 'event'.

 

Martin salter of TAT fame, standing in a dried up chalk stream campaigning that everyone in the u k must go on a water meter.

 

The following year TAT campaigned against dredging to get rid of flood waters.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Read the article a couple times. One for content and one for "meaning" regarding global warming. You and I will read this article with an entirely different skew. It's a glass half full or half empty question?

 

No one in their right mind disagrees with the idea of climate change because of, among other things temperature change.

 

We disagree, for the most part, on whether there is a damn thing we can do about these changes. Carbon footprint and all that mumbo-jumbo.

 

Really, many of us who believe the "sky is falling" don't believe that there is much that can be done at this point of the cycle. I don't "blame" anyone for life as it is on earth - now or then. I could be wrong?

It was dumped because its been pointed out its misleading and manipulating and used to extract money,climate change is correct the earths climate is always changing ,it always has it always is and it always will be whether man is present or not

We are an island because of climate change ,before that we were under a glacier ,before that sub tropical ,glacier ,desert you name it and all before we invented engines petrol or diesel

The melt water will go to where it was before !generally on land!

People no longer fear what was called global warming so some other name will have to be invented (super or mega usually work) to extract money from the tax payer.

I'm close to a foxhole. I'll give my opinion. Whatever happened to the earth on my watch - just happened. Let my dam kids do the same. If she (the earth) gets hot - so be it. In my time it was proper for factories to puff smoke. In fact, I still puff a little smoke myself. dam ciggys
