RRP £399 Now only £119.99 – Customer review by Ben Gulliver

I’ve got to be honest and say I used to be the worst tackle tart in the world. If it didn’t have a ‘name’ brand on it, I wouldn’t buy it. Crazy really, but that was the carp fishing scene I was into – all the lads on the syndicate I fished on were the same.

I ended up drifting away from it but since moving jobs, I’ve found a lad who’s keen as mustard at carping and his enthusiasm has rubbed off on me. And the great thing is, he’s not fussy about kit at all – as long as it’s functional and of good quality, he’ll use it.

It was that philosophy that introduced me to Carp Kinetics. My mate has been a convert for years but I must admit to being a bit reluctant. Sometimes though, you need to see the stuff in use and when I saw his new bivvy – the CK Covert 3 Rib – I was blown away. In fact, I was that impressed I bought one too!

CK Covert 3 Rib Bivvy

It really is an excellent piece of equipment and at less than £120, phenomenal value as well. It’s easy to erect, extremely spacious and the three rib design means it’s rock solid. How do I know? The pair of us were out earlier in the month when the heavens opened and the wind was blowing a real hooley. The bivvy remained 100% secure and waterproof.

One of the other bonuses of this bivvy is that it comes with a free winter skin. I’ve not had reason to use it yet but it’s a great added extra that would probably cost near £100 on its own.

Since buying this bivvy I’ve been back to the Dragon Carp Direct website and added quite a few CK items, incling a bedchair, luggage and rod pod. Each item has been well built and very well priced.

My days of being a tackle tart are well and truly over!
