  7. i went on a manual handling course at the uni once ,after the spiel the chap donned a waistcoat with loads of pockets  (he never explained why) and demonstrated lifting variouse items ,when my turn came i lifted the fire extinguisher by the handle on the top ,no he says you bend your knees  this annoyed me i then MADE SURE my knees remained straight in all further tasks ,he couldnt explain why i shouldnt use the handle carefully placed on the top to lift it by  ,he then put a five gallon container on the floor ,bent his knees and lifted it , he didnt answer why i couldnt lift it by the handle on the top from the bench where it origanaly was  a question time came at the end ,my question was what would i do incase of fire if i was on a ship???? my answer of opening the sea cocks ,as the ship sunk the fire would be extinguished ,didnt seem to satisfy him ,never the less we all passed ,my certificate went in the bin as i went out ,several hundred pounds wasted on a chap with lots of pockets as my job mostly consisted of moving p.c`s and workstations to the front of a desk so i could see the inventory number on the back bending my knees whilst doing so would result in a bloody chin ,sounds dangerouse to me [ 07. 10. quote: I got one of these fedexed over from Australia, worked out about £50. it obviasly the shop bought version of what i saw ,at £50 i can see why he made his own
  11. quote: Just in case you didn't know the gear to take out for the backwind is just a small steel rod that sits under the tensioner on the reel handle. if its the anti reverse pawl you mean  it sits on the inside below the gears ,it rests on a little pin ,on the 506 its just a piece of shaped metal on the 507 its the same shape with a brass sleeve part no 5579

  15. i did see whilst roaming around last year a chap fishing from a rocky perch (through binoculars ) he landed a fish by attaching a ring with two very large hooks welded??? to it to the line ,the ring had a thin rope attached to it ,he clipped the ring to the mainline and it went down the line to the fish ,the hooks seemed to be angled ( i was looking through binoculars remember) on pulling the rope the hooks caught the fish and he pulled it up ,maybe a rock fisherman could elaborate

  20. one hurdle over (in theory) Dear Dave, As a rule adverts belong to the advertiser. So you will probably need to contact the company that placed the advert rather than the newspaper or book publisher. I hope this is of some help to you. Yours sincerely, Sandra Brind (Ms) Syndication Administrator News International Newspapers Limited i have now e`mailed south bend to see if gladding is still a part of them [ 05. 21. it also depends on the copier if it uses "raw dao" as a copying "method" then with the right software it will "back them up" if it doesnt then no software will allow it to ( it will still back up the lesser forms of protection though)
