we had a pair of religeous fanatics turn up on our doorstep ,after being told that we were jewish and not interested in being a mormon ( were not jewish but it works whilst still being polite ) they remarked on how nice our garden was and that the lord had made that garden ,i replied that the lord had had the couple of years that the house had been rented in sole charge of the garden but had managed to fill it with nettles ,waist high grass and other rubbish , the garden was nice because I had taken over

i was pike fishing one new years day with my son ,whilst trying to mount a still frozen pilchard i managed to impale my thumb with the only barbed hook on a treble , i tried removing it but suddenly the " tunnel " vision apeared (almost fainted) ,i sat down and had a cup of tea whilst recovering , i cut of the wire and left my son in charge and drove to the hospital several miles away (managing to leak blood everywhere ) on being seen by the doc i warned him that i usually fell over at the sight of needles ,he assured me that i wouldnt ,after putting in a local anastetic he then used a scalpel to remove the offending hook (very interesting as the point and barb had managed to get into the joint) .the next thing i remember is a couple of people saying my name far away and i seem to have fell asleep on the floor .on asking how i got down there they replied they had put me down there to save me doing it i said i HAD warned them and after being bandaged up drove back and continued fishing much too the amusement of my son ,it is still mentioned on occasion several years later .i now carry a small home made kit containing plasters and small bandage etc in my tackle box as a precaution [ 17 June 2002, 06:29 AM: Message edited by: chesters1 ]

probably when the lake was stocked at some time the fish were from the " bargain bin " at a price the person couldnt refuse ,a lot of the deformities could have been caused by chronic overstocking at a young age.

there was a couple "at it" at my local pond in a bivvy (was it you lyn ) dont these people know how far sound travels over water and how stimulating it is for the older angler when aproached the mrs replied with 2 words the second one being "off" ,i carried on fishing

you need a attack force of swifts for the daylight raids and nightfighters (bats) for the after dark attacks i have always used jungle formulae with positive effect ,and potatoes do work you just have to throw them correctly

trouble is if thev`e never been caught (and these people are VERY clever )then you will pass the test ,if the search is ALL we base peoples morality and sexual quirks on then unless they have been caught then all of them can work with kids ,some are married (look at that murdering bloke who topped himself) some are unmarried ,polygraphs used correctly could with the right questions could weed out most of them ,just because they are respected in the community (look at catholic priests where its encouraged by not stamping it out) these people go out of their way to get access to kids (there is one at my youngests old school he used to help with them swimming,everyone knows but nothing is done ,i spoke to the local copper but unfortunatly needs hard evidence (accidental hands going into swim suits doesnt count :mad: )) i aggree with the veiw on unruly kids, maybe secure schools with a lot more punishment routines could be set up ,in the animal world pain decides whose the boss ,these kids are animals ,too old for school then bring back national service for them :mad:
