Nowhere near Liverpool I am afraid mate, but there are some lakes near Gawsworth Hall in Macclesfield which are promising whenever I have been up there.

Get the other one to go out shopping or something in the nearest town at the same time you go fishing, and pick her up on the way back, obviously this can have age problems, but it works with my sister who loathes anything to do with fish or fishing.

I went out for an indian with my father yesterday night to a very nice restaurant near me, with very nice food. However, we noticed a scam going on. As in most indian restaurants they ask you if you want popadoms, so of course we said yes, and they brought some popadoms out - with some dips. They had never asked us if they wanted some dips with them, you just automatically assume they come with them. Looking at the bill afterwards they charged us £2.40 for the popadoms and £6.90 for the dips. What a rip off! Unbeleivable! :mad: :mad:

Had a perch hurl itself at a piece of red foam wrapped round a swivel before.

What seems to work well for me is ledgering a lump of luncheon meat in a slacker area of water rather than the main flow, especially if flooded. Don't both loose feeding, just strike your bait off before you recast. Try lumps of different sizes.

They would get short shrift from me, four of 'em or not. Besides, who in their right mind is going to buy alcohol for an 11 yr old?

Had it when I have been fishing at very close range, turned round after getting a cuppa just in time to catch the butt of the rod hitting me in the stomach and doubling me up, but fortunately I had the presence of mind to grab the bail arm, so it took line but not the rod.
