If you fancy a change from Christmas pudding, mince pies etc., try this, it's very quick and easy and everyone will think you're a genius....
Ingredients.
Pint and a half of double cream.
2 ounces soft muscavado sugar.
2 ounces caster sugar
three quarters of a pint of cooking sherry
4 packs chocolate chip cookies.
4 Cadbury's flakes.
Method
Whip the double cream 'til it's good and stiff!
Stir in the sugars with a wooden spoon.
Pour the sherry into a suitable bowl.
Dip two cookies into the sherry, let 'em soak for a couple of seconds.
Sandwich the cookies together and place them in a suitable dish.
Keep dipping cookies into the sherry and sandwiching them together with the cream until all the cookies are used up.
You should have some cream left.
Spread the remaining cream over the cookies and crumble the flakes on top.
Make this the day before and leave it in the 'fridge for all the flavours to blend.
It takes about 20 mins. to make this.
It freezes well and is FAB eaten half frozen.
