  1. Great offer Dave, any room for a relative newcomer to the members club?
  2. LOL You sound similar to me Billy, my mother always said I was the worlds biggest worrier (minds gone blank, is that the right spelling?). Good luck with the driving test, might not seem it now, but driving will become second nature and about as taxing as tying your shoe laces. Oh, and littlefeathers. You can't expect us men to divulge our fears, stiff upper lip and all that. ........sssssshhhhhh! I'm terrified of spiders.
  3. Try AC Computer Warehouse . They sell second user systems at realistic prices and their service is very good.
  4. Just read this and i'm horrified, this sort of thing should not be tollerated. They should be named and shamed and kicked off the site. Please don't stop your posts because of this Judy, yourself and the little'uns add so much to the board.
  5. Great fishing Judy, sounds like a "red letter day". Did you get pics?
  6. ssssshhhhhhh! I have a place they could stay, they would be most welcome. Just keep it to yourself.
  7. Don't know about the JRC, but warn against the Nash SS Speedlock ones. Bought 2 the other week, third time I used them the screw tips cracked off. Should have listened to Gaffer!
  8. Rankine Did you use the "expander" pellets? The normal variety should sink. The VDE pellets are usually around £1.99 for 900g.
  9. I would imagine many would like an event like this to be a family thing Judy, but Chesters might be a tad upset if you turned up with your hubby. BTW, here is a link to Billing Aquadrome for those interested.
  10. Yeh cheers Newt, didn't have a clue what I was doing but think I downloaded the patch. BTW, maybe a silly question, but how do I know if I was infected or not?

    River ant

Gotta fish this river.....maybe my lucky venue!
  12. ..............handing out free bottles of Carlsberg. Oh, I so want this to happen.
  13. ok, ok, drop the strippers......but what about a couple of Carlsberg promotional girls dressed tastefully in......SKIMPY bikini's.
  14. Elton Any help on this topic would be happily volunteered for by me and surely by others here. Maybe the response to this thread would make it unviable anyway. Shame, it would be an event I would relish attending.
  15. Cheers Orca. Is there another way of handling them, say with a latex glove or something, that will help preserve the mackerel I catch?
  16. I didn't know this Leon, is this always the case? I've always put all fish back including mackeral, a bit ****** with myself now.
  17. Lots of interest here then! Is there an unwriten law that folk who chat on BB shouldn't meet?
  18. OK Elton and all............isn't it about time we arranged the inaugural "AnglersNet Fish Tales & Beer Festival". I for one would love the chance to meet some of the great caracters on here, I'd also like a friendly debate with one or two as well. I'm sure it wouldn't be to difficult to find a venue, perhaps Billing Aquadome could be booked for a weekend, it's virtually in the centre of England so would be as fair as possible for people travelling from all parts. I know you are very busy Elton, but surely some of us could act as your generals to arrange this. Hey, you could perhaps get some sponserships from the companies that addvertise here on the site, could be good for business! I think it would also be great to do a phone competition with the proceeds going to fly Newt over as the guest of honour. Fishing, chatting about fishing and drinking beer all in the great out doors, sounds bliss to me. (maybe a few strippers as well?......no,no getting carried away, sorry)....perhaps just the one???? Anyway what do you think, maybe summer 2004?
  19. It's 28 at the moment in Staffs and it's 11.13pm.
  20. There's a bloke stripping and repainting his barge on the local canal, he has been moored in my favourite swim for 2 weeks now with the full array of power tools. I was wondering if this is legal as if he is stripping lead paint (which is going straight into the canal), is it a pollution risk. Any comments on this as it's something that has been on my mind and am considering phoning the EA.
